565 lipid-lowering therapy-naive patients with first-ever acute ischemic stroke were stratified by age to analyze lipid patterns. The oldest-old group (≥80 years) showed significantly lower levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-C, and other lipid markers compared to younger cohorts. This retrospective study by Shusheng Jiao, published in 2026, identifies non-HDL-C as the strongest lipid predictor of late-onset stroke.
