United States data from 21,360 participants in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 1999 to 2018, used to investigate the relationship between the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and melanoma. The study, authored by Yao Liang and last updated in March 2026, also includes an external validation cohort of 475 patients with primary non-metastatic acral melanoma from three tertiary hospitals. Analysis employed weighted logistic and Cox regression, restricted cubic splines, and seven machine learning algorithms.
