335 undergraduate students from Kwara State University and the University of Ilorin were surveyed using two validated instruments. Findings show a generally negative parental attitude toward mother tongue use (grand mean=1.35), low language competence among students (grand mean=2.35), and low readiness for internationalized higher education (grand mean=2.23).
