A cohort of 30 patients with Parkinson's disease was evaluated before and after unilateral or staged bilateral subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (DBS). Neuropsychological assessments were conducted at baseline, 6 months, and 24 months post-surgery, focusing on cognitive function, mood, and quality of life.
