Football Tournament Laboratory Parameters, 2004–2023

564,316 laboratory measurements from a tertiary care center were analyzed to assess the impact of major football tournaments on routine health parameters. The data covers 19 UEFA European Championships and FIFA World Cups from 2004 to 2023. Results showed no clinically meaningful changes in liver enzymes or inflammatory markers during event periods compared to reference times.
