Survey on Parental and Adolescent Physical Activity Mediated by Family Support in China

A 2023 survey of 11,940 participants across 15 provinces in China examines the relationship between parental physical activity (PA) and adolescent PA. The study uses multiple linear regression and mediation analysis to test the role of family PA support as a mediator. Results indicate family PA support mediates 31.99% of the total association between parental and adolescent PA.
