Description
A dataset of culturable endophytic microorganisms from the medicinal plant Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn. It contains 2,592 fungal and 6,705 bacterial amplicon sequence variants (ASVs), with 173 fungal and 39 bacterial strains isolated from root, stem, and leaf samples collected from September to December 2024. The data was generated by Bin Deng to analyze spatiotemporal community dynamics and screen for plant growth-promoting strains.
Use Cases
Analyzing spatiotemporal heterogeneity in endophytic communities based on sampling month and plant organ data.
Screening for microbial strains with plant growth-promoting traits like phosphate and potassium solubilization.
Studying the dominance of specific microbial phyla (e.g., Proteobacteria, Ascomycota) within a medicinal plant host.
Validating the growth-promoting effects of isolated strains on model (Arabidopsis thaliana) and host (P. praeruptorum) plants.
Strengths
Contains 2,592 fungal and 6,705 bacterial amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) for community analysis.
Includes 173 fungal and 39 bacterial strains isolated via culture-dependent methods.
Samples cover three plant organs (root, stem, leaf) and four months (September to December 2024) for spatiotemporal assessment.
Data is licensed under CC-BY-4.0, permitting open sharing and adaptation.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
The dataset is small (12.5 KB), suggesting it may contain summary or processed results rather than raw sequencing reads.
