Description
A high-density genetic linkage map containing 4,035 representative bin markers across 13 linkage groups was constructed from an F₂ population of 147 ridge gourd plants. The dataset, authored by Qin Chen and last updated in May 2026, identifies eight significant QTLs, with a major multi-trait hotspot anchored to a 7.03 Mb interval on chromosome 3 containing 136 annotated genes.
Use Cases
Fine mapping of candidate genes based on the identified 7.03 Mb QTL hotspot interval.
Marker-assisted breeding for early maturity in ridge gourd using the 4,035 bin markers.
Comparative genomics analysis leveraging the high-density linkage map across 13 linkage groups.
Prioritizing candidate genes like Lac03g1231 and Lac03g1281 for functional validation studies.
Evaluating genetic architecture of multi-trait correlations using the clustered QTLs on LG3.
Strengths
High-density genetic map with 4,035 representative bin markers.
QTL analysis anchored to a specific 7.03 Mb genomic interval containing 136 annotated genes.
Data derived from a structured F₂ population of 147 plants evaluated for six traits.
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
The dataset is small at 43.7 KB, indicating limited scope.
