120 women with refractory post-mastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS) were analyzed in a retrospective study from a tertiary cancer pain clinic. The data, authored by Morsi Khashan and updated in April 2026, includes patient-reported measures like the Brief Pain Inventory and Pain Catastrophizing Scale. Pain phenotypes were classified as nociceptive (40.8%), neuropathic (25.0%), or mixed (34.2%), with factors like multiple pain sources and radiotherapy-attributed pain associated with mixed pain.
