25 plastomes from the Blumea plant genus, including 23 newly sequenced samples, were compared for structural variation, divergence hotspots, and codon usage bias. The dataset, authored by Pingxuan Xie and last updated in May 2026, was used to reconstruct the genus's phylogeny using 47 plastomes and 38 nrDNA sequences. Results supported dividing Blumea into four clades and identified nine divergent hotspot regions as candidate DNA barcodes.
