Description
Containing results from a genome-wide identification of 45 AhSBP genes in Agave sisalana, with 18 identified as putative miR156 targets. It integrates comparative transcriptomics, promoter cis-element analysis, and RT-qPCR validation to elucidate the miR156-AhSBP regulatory module under pathogen stress from purple leaf roll and zebra stripe diseases. The analysis reveals differential expression patterns, such as the suppression of AhSBP9 and AhSBP38 in susceptible cultivars.
Use Cases
Analyze expression patterns of the 45 identified AhSBP genes, such as AhSBP9 and AhSBP38, under pathogen stress conditions.
Investigate the regulatory relationship between asi-miR156 levels and its 18 putative target AhSBP genes across susceptible and resistant cultivars.
Perform promoter cis-element analysis on AhSBP genes to identify stress-responsive regulatory motifs.
Compare transcriptomic profiles to validate the role of specific members like AhSBP17 and AhSBP34 as potential downstream effectors in defense.
Strengths
Identifies a specific set of 45 AhSBP genes from a genome-wide analysis.
