Description
A research dataset from figshare, last updated May 2026, presents results from a study linking gut microbiota to septic cardiomyopathy. The analysis, conducted by Yuxia Tao, integrates bulk transcriptome data, Mendelian randomization, and machine learning to identify candidate biomarkers. The 37.6 KB file contains results including 5 gut microbiota taxa, 22 metabolites, 461 targets, and 166 differentially expressed genes.
Use Cases
Validating the causal role of specific gut microbiota in septic cardiomyopathy based on Mendelian randomization results.
Investigating the relationship between biomarkers STAT3/SLC5A1 and immune cell infiltration patterns mentioned in the description.
Exploring regulatory networks involving transcription factors (e.g., FOXC1) and microRNAs (e.g., miR-3120-3p) linked to the identified biomarkers.
Analyzing pathway enrichment, such as valine, leucine, and isoleucine degradation, associated with the candidate genes.
Correlating clinical sample measurements (IL-6, cTnI, propylene glycol) with gene expression levels from the transcriptomic analysis.
