Description
A quantitative village survey collected contextual data from 33 villages across five districts in the Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions of Tanzania. The survey, conducted by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), gathered information on local infrastructure, community groups, active programs, transportation, electricity, shocks, and seed systems. These data provide essential background for interpreting household- and individual-level outcomes in the FRESH end-to-end approach evaluation trial.
Use Cases
Analyzing the relationship between local infrastructure and agricultural production based on infrastructure and transportation data.
Modeling community resilience to shocks based on records of unexpected events experienced in the past five years.
Mapping the availability of development programs across villages based on data on active agricultural, health, nutrition, and development programs.
Studying seed system accessibility and its potential influence on vegetable production.
