Ocean Temperature and Salinity Profiles from IGOSS and Weather Stations, 1950-1984

243,000 temperature-depth profiles and 42,000 salinity-depth reports were collected via the Global Telecommunication System since 1984 from major oceans and seas. The All-Russian Research Institute of Hydrometeorological Information (RIHMI-WDC) processed and stores these IGOSS-verified Russian and international datasets. An additional time series from 10,000 deep ocean weather stations in the North Atlantic covers the period from 1950 to 1984.
