100-Car Naturalistic Driving Study: Light-Heavy Vehicle Interaction Analysis

The 100-Car Naturalistic Driving Study dataset contains coded interactions between light and heavy vehicles from the light vehicle driver's perspective. Data analysts reviewed video-recorded events to code Incident Type, Primary Maneuver, Contributing Factors, Accident Type, and Critical Reasons. This work was conducted by Richard J. Hanowski and colleagues to understand and classify LV-HV interactions and develop countermeasures.
