A 1983 telephone interview study by William J. Davis examined child sexual abuse prevention and postvention services provided by a select number of Wisconsin school counselors. The study determined the community resources counselors utilized and gathered their opinions on necessary additions to guidance programs. Results indicated prevention programs were more prevalent at the elementary level, while middle and high school programs were more reactionary.
