One Tree Reef evolved from a karst platform now 10 to 25 meters below sea level, which was emergent before 9600-9000 years B.P. The dataset describes the reef's asymmetrical triangular shape, 5.5 km long and 3 km wide, and its vertical and lateral accretion patterns influenced by sea-level rise and wave regimes over millennia. It is hosted by the Australian Ocean Data Network and was last updated in April 2026.
