Description
Processed panel data for 31 Chinese provinces covering the period 2009 to 2023, compiled for a study on climate physical risks and ecological resilience. The data and replication materials were authored by He, yanyan and hosted on Harvard Dataverse, last updated in April 2026. Original sources include the China Statistical Yearbook, China Environmental Statistical Yearbook, EPS database, and a climate risk index dataset.
Use Cases
Modeling spatial effects of climate physical risks on ecological resilience based on provincial panel data.
Conducting kernel density estimation to analyze the distribution of climate risk or resilience indicators.
Performing Markov chain analysis to study transitions in ecological resilience states over time.
Reproducing empirical analyses on climate-environment interactions using the provided Stata do-file.
Strengths
Panel data covers 31 provinces over a 15-year period (2009-2023).
Data is processed and accompanied by replication code (Stata do-file) for transparency.
Compiled from multiple authoritative public sources, including national statistical yearbooks.
