A Federal Aviation Administration study report evaluating the interfaces between flightcrews and modern flight deck systems in transport category airplanes. The study was launched in response to accidents, including the 1994 China Airlines A300 crash in Nagoya and the 1995 American Airlines Boeing 757 crash near Cali, which highlighted safety risks from crew-automation interaction breakdowns. The report was authored by Kasey W. Abbott.
