Output from numerical models computes combined-flow bed shear stress across the entire Australian continental shelf for an 8-year period from March 1997 to February 2005. The Australian Ocean Data Network produced this data to quantify seabed exposure to oceanographic processes like waves, tides, and currents. It presents three classification methods for assessing the magnitude and frequency of stress events.
