Traffic crash records from 2011 onward detail incidents on city streets under Gainesville Police Department jurisdiction. Data includes over 30 specific fields such as vehicle counts, fatalities, location coordinates, and census tract information. Records are published with a 60-day delay as mandated by Florida statute.
A change from the Summary Reporting System (SRS) to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) in late 2021 may cause apparent crime rate increases up to 2.7% due to changed counting rules.
