Description
Central Amazon tree census and growth data from fertilized plots near Manaus, Brazil. The dataset includes Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) measurements for trees over 10 cm, botanical family and species identification, and dendrometer band circumference measurements. Data were collected via annual forest inventories from 2017 to 2019 and dendrometer readings from April 2018 to January 2020.
Use Cases
Model tree Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) growth over time using dendrometer circumference measurements from fertilized plots.
Analyze species-level growth responses to fertilization by linking dendrometer data with botanical species identification.
Study family-level distribution patterns of stem growth in the Central Amazon using botanical family and DBH data.
Strengths
Includes multi-year temporal coverage with annual forest inventories from 2017 to 2019 and dendrometer data from 2018 to 2020.
Contains specific botanical data with family and species identification for trees over 10 cm DBH.
Provides direct physical measurements of tree growth via dendrometer band circumference changes.
