Description
UNAVCO GPS data from 10 separate Antarctic science projects during the 1994-1995 season. The data includes geodetic and mapping quality GPS measurements supporting geology, geophysics, glaciology, biology, and environmental research. It was aggregated by SCIOPS and last updated on NASA's Earthdata platform in February 1995.
Use Cases
Analyzing Antarctic crustal deformation based on geodetic GPS data.
Mapping glacial flow and ice sheet movement using GPS positioning.
Supporting geological field surveys with precise mapping-quality GPS coordinates.
Conducting environmental research in polar regions with location data.
Strengths
Data from 10 separate Antarctic science projects, indicating a multi-disciplinary scope.
