Adavale Basin 1D Burial and Thermal History Models for Hydrocarbon Prospectivity

Nine 1D burial thermal and petroleum generation history models constructed for the Adavale Basin using existing open file data. The models, presented at the 2023 Australian Exploration Geoscience Conference, estimate hydrocarbon generation potential by forward-modeling geological parameters from well completion reports. Results indicate full maturation of Devonian source rocks, with generation occurring during the Carboniferous and Late Cretaceous periods.
