Description
North Pacific Ocean underway data collected aboard NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker from 2021-01-15 to 2021-02 06. The dataset contains raw biological, meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical time series data logged by the ship's Scientific Computer System. NOAA's Office of Marine and Aviation Operations submitted the data and supplementary cruise-level metadata via the Rolling Deck to Repository program.
Use Cases
Modeling oceanographic conditions based on integrated physical and optical sensor data.
Analyzing biological activity patterns in relation to meteorological and navigational data.
Studying temporal dynamics of marine systems using the logged time series data.
Correlating ship-track navigational information with concurrent environmental measurements.
Strengths
Data spans a specific 23-day cruise from 2021-01-15 to 2021-02-06.
Integrates multiple data streams: biological, meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical.
Includes supplementary cruise-level metadata from the Ship Daily Activity Log.
Collected via an automated process under the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
