Description
NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown collected raw underway biological, meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical data in the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean from 2020-01-07 to 2020-01-26. The data were logged by the ship's Scientific Computer System and submitted to the National Centers for Environmental Information under the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program. This accession also includes supplementary cruise-level metadata from the Ship Daily Activity Log.
Use Cases
Modeling ocean-atmosphere interactions based on underway meteorological and physical data.
Analyzing marine biological patterns based on biological and optical sensor data.
Studying ship navigation and its environmental context based on navigational and time series data.
Correlating cruise-level activities with environmental measurements based on supplementary metadata.
Strengths
Data collected over a 20-day continuous cruise from 2020-01-07 to 2020-01-26.
Includes multiple data streams: biological, meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical.
Archived through an automated process under the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program.
