Description
June 24-25, 2019 raw underway data logged by the Scientific Computer System aboard NOAA Ship Pisces in the North Atlantic Ocean. The dataset contains meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical time series data submitted by Office of Marine and Aviation Operations personnel. It includes supplementary cruise-level metadata from the Ship Daily Activity Log, archived via the NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program.
Use Cases
Modeling ocean-atmosphere interactions based on meteorological and physical time series data.
Analyzing ship navigation patterns and environmental conditions based on navigational and optical data.
Validating satellite-derived oceanographic measurements based on in-situ physical data.
Studying short-term variability in marine conditions based on high-frequency time series logging.
Strengths
Data spans multiple domains: meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical.
Includes supplementary cruise-level metadata from the Ship Daily Activity Log.
Archived via the established NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository automated process.
Limitations
