Description
From June 19 to August 11, 2017, raw underway meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical time series data were logged aboard the NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska, British Columbia, and the North Pacific Ocean. Office of Marine and Aviation Operations personnel submitted the data and supplementary cruise-level metadata from the Ship Daily Activity Log. The NOAA Rolling Deck to Repository program automated the archival of this dataset.
Use Cases
Modeling coastal meteorology based on underway meteorological data
Analyzing ship navigation patterns based on logged navigational data
Studying ocean optical properties based on collected optical data
Investigating physical oceanographic time series based on the continuous logged data
Strengths
Data covers a specific 54-day cruise from June 19 to August 11, 2017
Includes multiple data types: meteorological, navigational, optical, and physical
