The analysis, based on satellite imagery comparisons with 16 earlier dates, identifies 198,273 affected structures, including 123,464 destroyed, and estimates 320,622 damaged housing units. This preliminary analysis indicates a 4% increase in total affected structures and an 18% increase in destroyed structures compared to a July 2025 assessment.
Use Cases
Mapping the spatial distribution of structural damage based on damage severity classifications mentioned in the description.
Analyzing temporal trends in destruction by comparing damage counts against the 16 reference dates listed in the description.
Estimating displacement and humanitarian needs based on the reported figures for damaged housing units and population movement.
Prioritizing reconstruction efforts by identifying governorates, such as Gaza and North Gaza, with the largest reported increases in damage.
