Himawari-8 Sea Surface Temperature Data for Australian Oceanographic Phenomena

Himawari-8 satellite data provides high-frequency (10-minute) and high-resolution (~2km) sea surface temperature (SST) observations. This dataset was used to investigate the Bonney Coast upwelling, East Australian Current variations, and Madden-Julian Oscillation diurnal SST signals between 2015 and 2017. The analysis was presented at the 2019 Australian Marine Science Association conference.
