Himawari-8 Satellite Sea Surface Temperature Data for Oceanographic Phenomena

Himawari-8 satellite data provides high-frequency 10-minute and 2-kilometer resolution sea surface temperature observations. This dataset was used in a 2019 Australian Marine Science Association presentation to analyze the Bonney Coast upwelling, East Australian Current, and Madden-Julian Oscillation diurnal variations. The analysis covered periods including the 2016–17 summer and from July 2015 to September 2017.
