Use Cases
Analyze vegetation polygon attributes like tree age and type to model forest composition near Whitehorse.
Map forest cover changes by comparing delineated polygons from 2005 with newer aerial photography.
Integrate polygon data with a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) for topographic analysis of vegetation distribution.
Strengths
Inventory based on high-resolution 1:10,000 scale black and white photography.
Polygons contain detailed information on attributes like tree age and type.
Project integrates new mapping and a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) for the area.
