A presence/absence map of tree cover across the state of Victoria, Australia, derived from aerial photography with a minimum pixel resolution of 20cm. The mapping was generated using a machine learning technique, defining tree cover as woody vegetation over approximately two metres in height. The dataset is provided by the Department of Transport and Planning and was last updated in April 2026.
Data is provided in multiple raster formats (TIFF, JPEG, ECW, JPEG 2000, GEOTIFF), requiring compatible GIS or image processing software.
