Primary Production Landscapes (PPLs) is a spatial framework dividing the state of Victoria, Australia, into 6 regions and 22 sub-regions. The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action created it by integrating soil and landscape data, land use maps, climatic records, and regional expert experience. Detailed characterizations for soil types, management issues, and agricultural industries are available on the Victorian Resources Online website.
Data is provided in multiple geospatial file formats (DWG, SHP, GDB, etc.), requiring compatible GIS software for use.
