122 stations on the Carnarvon Shelf provided underwater video and still images from depths of 13-125 meters in 2008. The survey was conducted by Geoscience Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science to collect co-located data for testing physical surrogates of benthic biodiversity. Video footage was recorded to mini DV tapes and later digitized, with the original tapes archived at AIMS-WA.
