122 stations on the Carnarvon Shelf were surveyed between 12 August and 15 September 2008, collecting underwater video and still images from depths of 13-125 meters. The survey was conducted by Geoscience Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science to test physical parameters as surrogates for benthic biodiversity. Video footage was recorded to mini DV tapes and later digitized, with the original tapes archived at AIMS-WA.
