122 stations were sampled during the Carnarvon Shelf Survey (SOL4769) conducted aboard the R.V. Solander between 12 August and 15 September 2008. The survey collected underwater video footage and still images from water depths of 13-125 meters to test physical parameters as surrogates for benthic biodiversity patterns. It was a collaboration between Geoscience Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science under the CERF Marine Biodiversity Hub's Surrogates Program.
Video footage was originally recorded to mini DV tapes and copied to digital format; access may require handling specific digital formats. Refer to GA Record 2009/02 (Geocat #68525) for further details.
