GA2476: 44 Video Transects and 6,229 Deep-Sea Images from Western Australia

44 video transects and 6,229 still photographs were collected from water depths between 831 and 4,827 meters during the Western Margin survey (GA survey #2476). The survey was conducted on the R.V. Sonne between 25 October 2008 and 19 January 2009 by the Australian Ocean Data Network, in collaboration with the Western Australia Geological Survey and the University of the Sea. Data acquisition was part of the Offshore Energy Security Program, aiming to gather geological, geophysical, oceanographic, and biological data over poorly known areas of Australia's western continental margin.
