NASA's VIIRS instrument on the JPSS-2/NOAA-21 satellite provides near-real-time Level 1B data with a spatial resolution of 750 meters at nadir. Each 6-minute granule contains calibrated radiance and reflectance for sixteen spectral bands, ranging from visible to longwave infrared wavelengths, across a swath measuring 3232 lines by 3200 pixels. The product includes geolocation, quality flags, and metadata for eleven reflective solar bands and five thermal emissive bands.
Data is provided in ISO and BIN file formats. Users must consult the external VIIRS Level 1 Product User's Guide for complete calibration and usage details.
