Vision-1: Very High-Resolution Optical Satellite Imagery Archive

Vision-1 provides optical satellite imagery products with very high spatial resolution. The European Space Agency (ESA) offers data in Panchromatic (0.87m), Multispectral (3.48m), Bundle, and Pansharpened (0.87m) formats, processed to Projected or Standard Ortho geometric levels. Imagery is delivered as 16-bit GeoTIFFs in the WGS84 UTM projection.

Use Cases

• Land cover classification based on the four multispectral bands (Blue, Green, Red, Near Infrared).
• High-detail feature extraction and mapping based on the 0.87-meter panchromatic resolution.
• Creating enhanced visual products for analysis based on the pansharpened imagery.
• Conducting orthorectified analysis based on the Standard Ortho (level 3) processing which uses a Digital Elevation Model.
