Description
The VLA Lockman Hole 1400-MHz Radio Source Catalog contains 1,479 entries for faint radio sources, including 1,450 sources and 29 individual components for multi-component sources. This catalog was created by NASA HEASARC in February 2012 based on data from the Very Large Array (VLA) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT), with observations conducted in 2006. It represents deep imaging data with a noise level of approximately 6 microJy/beam at 1.4 GHz.
Use Cases
Cross-matching radio sources across frequencies based on the described GMRT and VLA data.
Analyzing radio spectral indices for faint emitters based on the multi-frequency data mentioned.
Studying the spatial distribution of radio sources within the Lockman Hole field.
Investigating the properties of multi-component radio sources based on the 17 sources with listed components.
Based on deep imaging with a reported noise level of ~6 microJy/beam at 1.4 GHz.
Data is cross-matched with 610 MHz GMRT observations, enabling spectral index analysis.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
