North Pacific Ocean data contains temperature-depth profiles from a mechanical bathythermograph (MBT) instrument deployed during the CAYUSE cruise from March 27 to 30, 1972. The dataset, processed by NODC into the C128 standard format, consists of pairs of temperature and depth values recorded at uniform 5-meter intervals down to a maximum depth of approximately 285 meters. It is hosted by NOAA NCEI and also appears on NASA EarthData, indicating cross-platform relevance.
License information is not provided in any source description. The dataset's utility is confined to studying the upper ocean thermal structure.
