NODC-processed mechanical bathythermograph data from the J. R. PERRY cruise captures temperature-depth profiles in the Gulf of Mexico and North Atlantic Ocean. The dataset contains pairs of temperature and depth values recorded at uniform 5-meter intervals down to a maximum depth of approximately 285 meters. It provides a focused snapshot of upper ocean thermal structure from February 8 to March 12, 1965.
Data is useful only for studying the thermal structure of the upper ocean layers due to instrument depth limitations.
