Temperature-depth profiles from a 1967 U.S. Navy cruise, recorded using a Mechanical Bathythermograph (MBT) instrument. The dataset contains observations from the North and South Pacific Ocean over a nine-day period, processed into the NODC standard C128 format. Each profile provides paired temperature and depth values at uniform 5-meter intervals down to a maximum of approximately 285 meters.
The dataset's availability on multiple platforms (Data.gov, NASA EarthData) indicates its importance but also results in conflicting metadata regarding the last update date.
