Weekly aggregated counts of cases, hospitalizations, and vaccinations for COVID-19, influenza, and RSV among nursing home residents are reported to the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network. Data collection began September 30, 2024, with mandatory COVID-19 reporting and voluntary influenza/RSV reporting transitioning to mandatory for all three pathogens on January 1, 2025. The dataset is aggregated at national and state/territory levels from CMS-certified nursing homes.
Reporting requirements changed over time: COVID-19 data was mandatory starting September 2024, while influenza and RSV data became mandatory on January 1, 2025. The 'Week Ending Date' column defines the surveillance period (Monday to Sunday).
