Benthic invertebrate classification data for rivers, used to indicate ecological status under the Water Framework Directive. The dataset contains processed scores for number of taxa (NTAXA) and average score per taxa (ASPT), run through the River Invertebrate Classification Tool (RICT) and VISCOUS tool to produce site and water body level classifications. Data is provided by the Environment Agency and was last updated in July 2026.
