Survey of Drowsy Driving Crash Factors from North Carolina Drivers

A large sample of drivers involved in recent police-reported crashes in North Carolina were questioned via telephone interviews. The study uses a case-control design comparing drivers in sleep-related crashes to non-sleep-related crash drivers and non-crash-involved drivers. Survey results are analyzed descriptively and with multiple logistic regression models.
