Description
Orthophoto imagery of Winfield captured on November 5, 2020, consisting of 66 RGB images. The dataset provides a 6 cm spatial resolution raster corrected for terrain relief, suitable for use as a map backdrop.
Use Cases
Analyze ground-level feature changes using orthorectified imagery with 6 cm spatial resolution.
Assess spatial accuracy limitations for elevated structures like rooftops and tree canopies as noted in the data limitations.
Integrate orthophoto tiles, referenced by SW corner coordinates (e.g., SW_123000_4567000_1km), as a base layer for other spatial data in Web Mercator projection.
Strengths
High 6 cm spatial resolution for detailed ground-level observation.
Imagery is orthorectified, combining photographic detail with geometric map qualities.
Contains 66 individual RGB images captured with a 300 mm focal length sensor.
Limitations
Spatial accuracy is reduced for elevated structures and in areas of dense vegetation due to relief displacement.
No existing ground control was held over the site, which may affect absolute positional accuracy.
Limited temporal coverage from a single acquisition date in 2020.
