Botswana's Kalahari Transect was the location for ground measurements of Leaf Area Index (LAI) during the SAFARI 2000 wet season field campaign from March 3-18, 2000. The data were collected to validate the MODIS LAI/FPAR algorithm and cover four sites—Pandamatenga, Maun, Okwa River, and Tshane—representing a vegetation gradient from moist woodlands to arid grasslands. Measurements were made at two spatial scales: a 1 km x 1 km transect scale and a finer 250 m x 300 m pixel scale.
March 2000 leaf spectral data were collected along the Kalahari Transect in Zambia and Botswana during the SAFARI 2000 wet season field campaign. The Boston University team measured reflectance, transmittance, and albedo from 400 nm to 1100 nm for dominant tree, shrub, and grass species at five sites using a LI-1800 portable spectroradiometer. This dataset was created to support validation of the MODIS LAI/FPAR algorithm.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada's program summarizes long-term water chemistry and chlorophyll a monitoring in north central Ontario lakes. The data, centered on the Turkey Lakes Watershed since 1979 and including networks around Sault Ste. Marie and Parry Sound, tracks lake acidification and ecological recovery. Measurements quantify acid–base status, major ions, nutrients, trace metals, and phytoplankton biomass to link atmospheric deposition to aquatic responses.
A 2024-2026 project by CSIRO, JCU, and the University of Melbourne updated national stocktakes and compiled evidence for coastal and marine nature repair in Australia. It produced a draft national framework and updated databases on restoration locations, habitat types, and intervention outcomes. The work supports coordinated planning for activities linked to blue carbon, biodiversity protection, and nature repair markets.
Museum Victoria collected biological data from Bass Strait between 1979 and 1983. The results indicate a particularly diverse fauna with high small-scale variation, where even adjacent samples show low similarity. Analysis suggests longitude and depth are important factors, but overall correlation with physical factors is poor, indicating other environmental variables influence benthic assemblages.
Four new bathymetry grids integrate seabed and topographic data for Lord Howe Island, located 450km off the coast of New South Wales. The Australian Ocean Data Network produced this data to understand seabed morphology and habitats on the island's shallow shelf. Data collection involved integrating multiple datasets, with results last updated in June 2026.
59 native aquatic plant species across South America are represented in this 5.1 MB dataset compiled by Aline Lopes from GBIF records. Occurrence records include scientific names, geographic coordinates, and country data, cleaned for taxonomic consistency. The dataset was last updated on May 22, 2026 to support biodiversity and conservation studies.
145 snake species occurrence and trait data from the Upper Paraguay River Basin, analyzed to assess environmental and microhabitat influences. The dataset, authored by Vanessa Nocelli and last updated in June 2026, is shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license on figshare. It likely contains functional trait measurements and environmental variables used in multivariate community assembly analysis.
New palynostratigraphic age constraints for the Winton Formation in Queensland, Australia, are presented. The dataset likely contains microfossil data from 18 drill cutting samples from two petroleum wells, Tamarama-1 and Queenscliff-1. It was created by Vera A. Korasidis and colleagues and last updated in May 2026.
First nuc rDNA ITS sequence for Litschauerella abietis and combined ITS and 28S datasets for phylogenetic analysis. The dataset includes sequences and morphological data from type materials and new collections, supporting the description of three new Tubulicium species. Authored by Che-Chih Chen and last updated on 2026-06-03.
A proteomic dataset from 15 women with primary infertility and poor ovarian response, collected at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana between September 2023 and June 2024. Protein microarrays targeting 1,466 proteins were used to analyze endometrial samples during the window of implantation. The analysis identified 114 antibodies with differential abundance between spontaneous and stimulated cycles.
24 Clostridium perfringens isolates from captive corn snakes were analyzed for toxinotypes and virulence gene copy numbers. The research by You-Chen Hung, published on figshare in 2026, associates fatal diarrhea with increased intestinal colonization by C. perfringens and a reduced cadA gene copy number. The dataset is a 317.6 KB document detailing the study's methods and results.
A 1.9 KB text file contains a high-reliability, zero-allocation memory protection module for 32-bit bare-metal architectures. It implements a deterministic CRC32 engine using the IEEE 802.3 polynomial to validate Flash memory integrity. Authored by Jamie Davis and last updated in June 2026, this module is designed to operate with O(1) auxiliary space before kernel initialization.
A specialized Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) register trace and data matrix captured across asymmetric multiprocessing architectures. The dataset benchmarks interactions between fixed-point clamping math and safety monitors under simulated high-voltage inductive surges. It was created by Jamie Davis and last updated on June 2, 2026.
Individual-level emergence timing data for the alfalfa leafcutting bee collected across four laboratory experiments conducted between 2021 and 2023. The dataset comprises 2,976 bee emergence records from experiments designed to develop and validate a degree-day model for predicting adult emergence timing. It was created by Alex S. Torson and published on figshare.
Geoscience Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science collected backscatter data in the Arafura Sea during November 2020. The survey aimed to build baseline information for benthic habitats within the Arafura Marine Park to support a 10-year environmental monitoring plan. Data acquisition included multibeam bathymetry, backscatter mosaics for two areas, seabed samples, and underwater imagery.
A 48 km² area of the Vestfold Hills nearshore environment was surveyed using multibeam echosounder and towed underwater video. The dataset results from an integrated analysis by the Australian Ocean Data Network to identify benthic habitats and examine relationships between community composition and environmental characteristics. The research provides a spatial framework for environmental management and a baseline for assessing change.
Underwater video footage from the 2007/2008 CEAMARC voyage captures the physical and biological structure of seafloor communities. The data likely reflects colonization over the past 8-12 thousand years following the last glacial retreat. This dataset, sourced from the Australian Ocean Data Network, analyzes how iceberg scouring, water currents, and sediment deposition shape distinct Antarctic habitats.
A case study from northern Australia demonstrates a methodology for mapping benthic habitats using physical surrogates. The dataset likely contains geospatial layers for physical parameters and calculated uncertainties from bio-physical extrapolation and interpolation. It was published by the Australian Ocean Data Network and last updated on 2026-06 04.
