Seagrass Habitat Maps for Tasmanian Waters Using Remote Sensing
NESP MaC 3.6 mapped the extent and composition of temperate subtidal seagrass beds in the Tayaritja Sea Country (Furneaux Group, Tasmania). The project used high-resolution Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, bathymetric LiDAR, and field validation at approximately 400 locations to produce probability, percent cover, and binary presence maps for seagrass, macroalgae, and sand. Data is hosted by the Australian Ocean Data Network.
